Description

Melatonin is a natural hormone secreted by the pineal gland that regulates the wake-sleep cycle. Supplemental melatonin is often needed to replace the body’s declining production of this hormone that may occur with increasing age. It can also help compensate for reduced body synthesis and regulate sleep patterns during times of disrupted quality of sleep (such as jet lag). Melatonin also has beneficial effects on the immune function.
